Objectives of the Organization

1. Multiparty democracy system can only secure and promote informal and formal labor rights hence to develop the democracy, its norms and practices in the labor sector; it will dedicate itself to establish nationalism, democracy, and socialism.
2. To organize the labor scattered in different sectors.
3. To secure and promote the occupational rights of Nepal Embroidery handicraft and sewing-weaving industry which are established and in the process.
4. To represent the occupational rights of informal and independent workers in case of decision making process.
5. Establish brotherhood relationship with national and international organization for equal principal and goal.
6. Organize training, workshop and seminar at national and international level in order to develop labor skill.
7. Establish cooperative and skill development training for the rights and welfare of labor and their family.

NEHSKWU Programs  and Plan

• Conduct the Program for cognitive knowledge to the labor and concerned area for their rights and duties through trade union education and dialogue.
• To conduct radio dialogue program to make the program of labor reachable to all the regions.
• To move forward to build the prestigious labor market and civilized society through dialogues and discussions by respecting each others.
• Conducting the awareness and educational program for the issues of gender discrimination and women empowerment perspectives to create the balanced society.

• To provide adequate knowledge to the labor of formal and informal sector for the upliftment of their livelihood.

• To conduct the awareness program and basic educational dialogues to prevent the labor and concerned sectors from Occupational Health and Safety and vulnerable disease.

Message from the NEHSKWU: NEHSKWU confines all workers who have been involved in the embroidery sector: Machine, hand computer, cutting machine. The industry including Silver and Goldcraft, Woodcraft, Metalcraft, Stonecraft, Papercraft, Pashmina, and Fine arts handicraft as well as Sewing sector: Tailoring house, Readymade sector, Ladies and Gents Tailor, Jeans Tailor, Furniture furnishing sewing boutique related sewing sector: Dhaka, Sweater, Pashmina, Mat involved workers and labors who are engaged mentally and physically. Those who seek to receive wages, salary, labor payments and piece rate are also involved in this sector.

NEHSKWU promote to secure the fundamental rights of the above mentioned workers and labors in terms of economic, social and political perspectives and assure them to provide justice. It entails to unite as a labor force and utilize its potential in federal democratic republic system and also assist in systematic development of democracy in order to support labor, World peace, Human Rights and Multiparty democracy and create the labor sector as an national independent working sector including informal and formal and work parallel with them by organizational unity.

सिलाई बुनाई तथा इम्ब्रोइडरी हेण्डिक्राफ्टमा आबद्ध मजदूरको पेशागत हकहित, अधिकार र सामाजिक सुरक्षाका लागि २०५३ सालमा उदित नारायण चौधरीको अध्यक्षतामा नेपाल इम्ब्रोइडरी हेण्डिक्राफ्ट तथा सिलाई बुनाई श्रमिक संघको स्थापना भएको हो । औपचारिक रूपमा २०५५ जेठ २ गते श्रम विभागमा दर्ता भएको संघले हेण्डिक्राफ्ट, इम्ब्रोइडरी, सिलाई एवं बुनाई क्षेत्रका श्रमिकहरूलाई समेटेको छ । यस क्षेत्रमा सलग्न मजदूरहरू यसअघि सामूहिक रूपमा संगठित हुन सकेका थिएनन् । संघको स्थापनाले यस क्षेत्रका मजदूरलाई एकाकार गर्ने र पेशागत मुद्दालाई उठान गर्न सहज भएको छ ।  

यस क्षेत्रका उद्योग र कारखानाको विस्तारसँगै मजदूर हकहितको सवाल पनि जटिल हुँदै आयो । प्रतिष्ठानले श्रमिकलाई लामो समय काम लगाउने तर रोजगारीको ग्यारेण्टी नगर्ने परिपाटीले गर्दा मजदूरले पेशागत सुनिश्चितताको सवाल उठाए । नियुक्ति पत्र, ठेकेदारी प्रथा अन्त्य, श्रम ऐन बमोजिम मजदूरलाई स्थायी नियुक्ति पत्र र सञ्चय कोषको व्यवस्था गर्नुपर्ने लगायत माग सम्बोधनका लागि संघ लड्दै आएको छ । सरकारले यस पेशामा आबद्ध मजदूरको पेशागत सुनिश्चितता गरेमा हजारौं नेपाली महिला तथा युवा विदेशिनु नपर्ने संघको ठहर छ । हेण्डीक्राफ्ट र सिलाई बुनाई पेशामा आबद्ध मजदूरलाई तालीम प्रदान गरी क्षमता वृद्धि गरिएमा निकासीजन्य थुप्रै सामग्री उत्पान गर्न सकिन्छ । नेपाल ट्रेड युनियन कांग्रेससँग आबद्ध यस संघले अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा इण्डष्ट्रीअल ग्लोबल युनियनको सदस्यता लिएको छ ।    

५० जिल्लामा विस्तारित यस संघमा हाल १३,५०५ सदस्य आबद्ध छन् । २०५३ साल यता संघले २०५९, ०६५, ०६९,२०८० मा अधिवेशन सम्पन्न गरेको छ । पछिल्लो पटक २०८०...................  गते सम्पन्न अधिवेशनले तेजप्रसाद रिजालको अध्यक्षमा निम्नानुसारको कार्य समिति चयन गरेको छ ।
